Creating Safe Spaces for Collective Healing

Creating Safe Spaces for Collective Healing

Being human is hard—and most of us try to carry our hardest moments alone. Rising loneliness, burnout, and youth suicide show what happens when systems fail, and connection breaks down.
The Bridges Project which started in Charlotte, NC 2025 has:
-Engineered a growing, community-built bridge,
a massive infrastructure of emotional support made from courage, compassion, and shared stories
-Shared thousands of connections, through threads woven by people of all ages
across the city
-Provided safe ways to express emotions
without pressure or judgment
-Held dozens of healing arts events
-Shows us that compassion and connection
can saves lives.
Turning triggers to triumph, stories into string and bridges into symbols of hope.
Threads to Hope: Connecting Communities, Classrooms, and Curricula to the Healing Arts. This is a program inviting us to slow down, breathe, and turn what feels tangled inside into something meaningful through the art of weaving.
The Bridges Project: A Bridge Built From Stories, A Model Built for Collective Healing. This is a traveling, interactive exhibit and suicide awareness campaign incorporating the Threads to Hope Looms into a kinetic string art bridge.
